The Gainey Vineyard was the first winery to own vineyards in both the warm eastern end of Santa Ynez Valley where the family concentrates on Bordeaux varieties and the cool western Sta. Rita Hills where they have planted Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Syrah. This unique advantage allows the Gaineys to completely control all phases of their wine growing: from planting of vines ideally suited to each of their vineyard sites, to viticulture techniques that emphasize low yields, to winemaking that stresses minimal processing. The Gainey Vineyard limited selection bottlings have received rave reviews from critics and consumers alike. Our tasting room is open for tastings daily and we encourage guests to enjoy Gainey wines and our scenic picnic area.
At Zaca Mesa Winery we hand craft our wines with integrity using traditional methods from grapes sustainably grown in our Santa Barbara County vineyard. Since 1973, we have farmed and nurtured our vineyard to produce Rhone style wines that are true to the unique spirit of our land. Come visit our rustic tasting room and picnic area, which, is open seven days, a week from 10 am-4pm. Join our wine club and receive special discounts on our award winning wines. Ojai’s award winning End of the Road Winery grows all of its own grapes and bottles its wine on the premises by hand. The grapes are crushed and stemmed within minutes of being harvested. Ten barrels a year are produced and each barrel comes from the same part of the vineyard year after year. We choose never to fine or filter our wines. We want our wine to be perfectly tasty, not perfectly pretty. The barrels are also stirred every month or two to enhance flavor. End of the Road Winery is proud of how it makes its wine and wants you to be prepared to enjoy your glass of wine when you see our label. Every step of the wine making process is done by hand.
