About The Festival

The Annual Ojai Wine Festival falls on the 3rd Saturday in June at beautiful Lake Casitas Recreation Area.

From its humble beginning in 1987, the Ojai Wine Festival has grown into a leading regional event attracting close to 4,000 people from throughout the central coast and southern California. The festival has played a role in introducing people to the bounty of Ojai, which has been named by Sunset Magazine as one of the top five “Food and Wine Havens in the West.” The Ojai Wine Festival has made its home at the beautiful Lake Casitas Recreation Area event site and falls on the third Saturday in June. With its ideal venue and extraordinary fan base, the Ojai Wine Festival has become a favorite affair for attending wineries and breweries.

Since its inception, the Ojai Wine Festival has raised over $1,400,000.00. All net proceeds from The Ojai Wine Festival, a 501(c)3 non-profit, will go to aid many important Rotary Community Service Projects which focus on improving education in our public schools, helping area youth through grants in the arts, music, and athletic programs, supporting the elderly, and assisting low-income families. Fitting examples of local projects include science-based field trips for elementary school students on the Rotary Floating Classroom, Elementary School Dictionary project, educational scholarships for graduating seniors, free family-friendly summer band concerts at Libbey Park, and Girl’s Empowerment Workshop. In addition, the Rotary of Ojai West Foundation, Inc., supports many international projects that help protect the environment and drinking water, implement literacy programs, improving women’s and children’s health, combating poverty, fighting diseases, and eradicate polio worldwide and support grants for Peace Projects. For beer lovers, our beer garden offers a fantastic variety of over thirty craft beers. Discover a superb selection of local restaurants and gourmet food trucks selling delicious culinary delights. Our silent auction has become a popular attraction featuring fine wines, private tasting parties, VIP winery tours, and other wine-related items. In addition, we have craft vendors, musical entertainment, and a lakeside dance floor.
