3-year vertical of Penman Petite Sirah, Paso Robles, Moderate-dark blackish-ruby color. Rich, spicy blackberry, dark plum, earthy cocoa aromas with background oak. Lush, round palate impression with varietal plum-berry fruit, a soft cocoa-blackberry middle and finely-integrated oak adding “fatness” and complexity. Textbook Petite Sirah character with only moderate tannins – virtually “elegant” for the varietal. Sinfully drinkable now but should evolve for another 2-3+ years. Long cocoa-berry finish with oak underneath. Very “polished” style. SILVER Medal 2015 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, valued at $150
