Rules

  • No pets or emotional support animals. California law allows persons with disabilities to bring trained service dogs and psychiatric service dogs, but not emotional support animals, to all public places. (Service dogs are allowed accompanied by their owner and must be always on a leash. If the owner cannot control their service dog, we will ask them to exit the event. The safety of our patrons is most important to us.) Under California law, misrepresenting that a dog is a trained service animal is a misdemeanor punishable by up to six months imprisonment and/or up to a $1,000 fine (Penal Code Section 365.7(a)). There is a specific form that needs filled out before the service dog is allowed to enter and the dog will have a band to attach to their collar to ID them as a service dog before the owner and dog can enter the event.
  • Per Alcoholic Beverage Control laws, no outside alcohol is allowed and pouring must end 30 minutes before the event ends.
  • All patrons must pass through security before entering the event. All bags and coolers will be searched for outside alcoholic beverages. Water bottles must be in a new sealed clear plastic container, no thermoses or other thermal drinking containers are allowed.
  • No illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia are allowed. No smoking of marijuana products.
  • No large shade umbrellas, you will be asked to take down your shade umbrella if you are blocking the view of other patrons. No pop-up tents or EZ-up canopies.
  • Never remove your wristband during the event. You cannot share or swap wristbands with other patrons.
  • You must be 21 years old or older to consume alcohol and have valid proof of age to enter event. Be prepared to show your ID for proof of age before receiving your entry wristband. You must be 21 to bid on the silent auction items.
  • If you arrive late to the event, we cannot guarantee that all the wineries or breweries will still have beverages for you to sample.
  • No smoking or vaping is allowed except for in designated smoking areas away from the main event. Marijuana smoking is NOT allowed.
  • Designated Driver/Non-Drinking tickets do not include alcohol consumption; you will be asked to leave the event or purchase a drinking admission ticket if you consume alcohol with a Non-Drinking Admission. Sharing alcoholic beverages with a non-drinking patron is not allowed.
  • All vehicles must be empty in the event parking area by 7pm on event day when the gates are locked. All vehicles must be removed from the parking area by noon, the day after the event if left overnight. Any vehicles left after that time will be towed at the owner’s expense.
  • Do not harass any alcoholic beverage vendor for a larger tasting pour. They are following the pouring rules for the event.
  • You are not allowed to purchase alcoholic beverages inside the event and carry them out. You may order bottles or cases of wine from wineries for delivery.
  • You must finish consuming your alcoholic beverage before exiting the event area. No open alcoholic beverage containers are allowed to be removed from the event site.
  • Firearms are not allowed at Lake Casitas and cannot be brought into the event site. Keep them home. You will be asked to leave the premises with any firearms or weapons on your person.
  • By entering the Ojai Wine Festival, you are entering an area where photography, audio and video recording may occur. Your entry and presence on the event premises constitutes your consent to be photographed, filmed, and/or otherwise recorded and to the release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction of any and all recorded media of your appearance, voice, and name for any purpose whatsoever in perpetuity in connection with the Ojai Wine Festival, the Rotary Club of Ojai West Foundation, Inc. and its initiatives, including, by way of example only, use on websites, in social media, news and advertising. By entering the event premises, you waive and release any claims you may have related to the use of recorded media of you at the event, including, without limitation, any right to inspect or approve the photo, video or audio recording of you, any claims for invasion of privacy, violation of the right of publicity, defamation, and copyright infringement or for any fees for use of such record media. You understand that all photography, filming and/or recording will be done in reliance on this consent. If you do not agree to the foregoing, please do not enter the event premises.

General Terms

  • All purchases are final, there are no refunds. The event will take place rain or shine. If we must cancel the event due to circumstances beyond our control, the Rotary Club of Ojai West Foundation Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit organization # 20-0606432, thanks you for your donation. A portion of your ticket is tax deductible. (Last year ‘s percentage was 38%.) Fees apply if purchasing tickets or silent auction items with a credit card, and our ticketing platform provider charges fees for each ticket.
  • You are required to show us proof of age when purchasing a drinking ticket, bring your ID.
  • We are required by law to stop pouring alcoholic beverages 30 minutes prior to the end of the event.
  • You may bring in a picnic basket of food and factory sealed non-alcoholic beverages, chairs, a blanket and small umbrellas.
  • Children aged 01-12 are permitted to attend for free if accompanied by a paying adult. Individuals aged 13-20 must purchase a non-drink admission ticket for $25.
  • There are limited free sponsored samples of non-alcoholic beverages at the event and drinking water. Food vendors also sell non-alcoholic beverages.

  • Food is not included with your admission ticket. We have a fabulous selection of gourmet food trucks and vendors at the event. You may bring in outside food.
  • If you arrive late to the event, we cannot guarantee that all the wineries or breweries will still have beverages for you to sample.
  • The event is outdoors so you wear comfortable shoes, a hat, and sunscreen. The event site area is grassy and fairly level in most sections, but the ground can be uneven so please watch your step. There are a few hills and a treed section on the event site.
  • The dress code is casual, please do not wear overly revealing clothing or clothing with profanity or offensive messages. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
  • Parking is $10 in cash only unless purchased online (Print your parking pass to hand to the parking attendant) and the parking lot is located directly across the street from the main ticketing area of the event.
  • Handicapped and motorcycle parking is available and there is a map and directions for handicapped parking on our website. You do not have to have a handicapped placard or a license plate to park here but it is not any closer to the entrance than regular parking. It is flatter and easier to use a walker, wheelchair and walk here.
  • Due to the nature of the event site, handicapped individuals may find it difficult to access all areas of the event, but there is level, paved areas where a handicapped person can easily move about in a wheelchair or use a walker and handicapped parking, and restrooms are furnished.
  • No smoking of cigarettes, E-cigarettes or vaping in the event area. There is a designated smoking area by the restrooms. Marijuana smoking is not allowed.
  • All patrons must pass through security. All bags and coolers will be inspected. Outside alcoholic beverages are not allowed. You may bring in factory sealed non-alcoholic beverages.
  • No weapons or illegal drugs are allowed on the premises.
  • Wristbands must be always worn while in the event.
  • No pets or comfort pets are allowed at the Ojai Wine Festival. Bona fide service animals are permitted. Anyone bringing a service animal to the Ojai Wine Festival will be responsible for and liable for any damage or injury caused by their service animal. Under the ADA, service animals must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered, unless these devices interfere with the service animals work or the individual’s disability prevents using these devices.

  • All items are non-refundable, all sales are final.
