Service Above Self
The Rotary Club of Ojai-West has many charitable interests locally and throughout the world with majority of those interests funded by the Ojai Wine Festival, a non-profit event sponsored by the Rotary Club of Ojai West Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization incorporated in 2004, Tax ID # 20-0606432.
All net proceeds from the Ojai Wine Festival will go to aid many important Rotary Community Service Projects that principally benefit local youth education and activities, low-income families, and community needs.
Annually, funds support science-based field trips for elementary school students on the Rotary Floating Classroom, 3rd grade Elementary School Dictionary project, Nordhoff High School’s “Service Above Self” scholarships for graduating seniors, Student of the Month scholarships, Ojai Band Free Community Concerts and Maintenance and Improvements to Rotary Park.
Additionally, the Rotary Club of Ojai West Foundation, Inc. offers local grants to, schools, youth organizations and service organizations. Fitting examples of past grants went to support Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Help of Ojai, Ojai Unified Public Schools, Girl’s Empowerment Workshop, National Search Dog Foundation, Secure Beginnings, Ojai Homeless Shelters, Ojai Cares, Ojai Valley Land Conservancy, Ojai 4th of July Committee, Thomas Fire relief, Boys and Girls Club, Children’s Playground at Libbey Park, and local youth Sports, Arts, Theater and Music Programs.
Furthermore, The Rotary of Ojai West Foundation, Inc. supports many international projects that support women and children’s health, help protect the environment and drinking water, implement literacy programs, combat poverty, eradicate polio worldwide and support grants for Peace Projects.
